There are many different paintball gun packages on the market and sometimes it hard to tell which one is the best. There are several different manufactures of paintball guns and packages that it sometimes can be difficult to find the best. Based on searching the web there are a few that seem to stand out above the rest. As with most purchases you do get what you pay and a lot depends on how often or what level of play you are at.
There are several types of paintball marker packages and most of them are very good but when trying to narrow it down to the one to purchase there are some features that need to be considered.
Some things to look for in paintball gun packages is the paintball marker itself. Is it reliable or how often does it parts break? Is it a manual marker or automatic and what kind of maintenance is required?
One important feature that should be looked at is how much paint that the gun uses, obviously a manual pump style will use less paint then an semi-auto, but a gun that chops a lot of paint (paintballs that break in the marker when it gets caught up in the firing mechanism) can be irritating as you have to take time to clean out or if not cleaned out your shots will be off and not fly straight.
To help this look for a paintball gun that has eyes, which is located below the feedneck. This is found on better or more expensive paintball guns. If the marker does not have one then look for paintball gun packages that includes an electric loader or hopper. Make sure to have the loader setting at the minimum speed that will shoot 15 balls per second as this will help the gun from chopping, if set too high or low it will cause problems. For manual paintball gun markers a high end loader is not necessary and any electric loader should work.
Included in a paintball gun package usually is a paintball gun, mask, paintballs, CO2 Tank, paintball harness, tools, oil, and ammo hopper.
There are several paintball gun packages that are available from each manufacturer and two paintball players’ favorites include:
1. Tippmann 98 CUSTOM PRO Platinum Series ACT Paintball Marker Mega Package.
This marker package includes the Tippmann custom pro marker that has ACT which is a new anti-chop technology that helps eliminate chop and ensure more consistent performance which means more accurate shots, less down time cleaning the marker, and less wasted ammo.
2 Spyder MR1 Paintball Marker Gun 4+1 MEGA Set + Barrel Condom
This paintball gun package includes a Spyder MR1 marker that will not rust even from use in the wettest conditions, and includes a 20 oz Co2 tank, standard mask kit, paintball harness, 140 rounds of heavy duty pods, 200 round hopper and is a great entry level marker.
There are many other great marker packages that include manual type guns and military styles, but remember to look at what is included as far as accessories but more importantly the paintball marker and its features as this is what will provide you a great paintball game experience. If you start out with a lower end package a lot of people comment that the end up replacing a lot of the main parts of the package and upgrade as a lot of the paintball accessories that come with that package are low end to keep the costs down. So if your budget can afford it go with a higher end package and marker. You can find many great deals and packages on E-Bay for some of the lowest prices available.
